Hi Keith, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn’t been any activity in it recently. Broadcom Corporation BCM Installed on 67 days ago InstallationMedia: I will be interested to see if that works for me. I only have a “dummy output” listed in the sound menu.
Is this symptom reproducible after you install linux-backports -modules- alsa-karmic- generic and reboot? Once you’ve tested the upstream kernel, please remove the ‘needs- upstream- testing’ tag. In the meantime, the link to the sound driver patch for the dv was interesting, but how do use that?
